Vane Separators

vane separators

Our unique double pocket vane separators have twice the separation capacity and higher efficiency than standard vane packs.

Offshore platform separators in the Gulf of Mexico, Lake Maracaibo (Venezuela) and the Java Sea (Indonesia) have utilised our Double Pocket Vanes to increase their gas production.

The vane’s unique geometry channels the collected liquid away from the gas, minimizing re-entrainment. The blade geometry also allows for more efficient mist removal. New vessels can be designed much smaller saving cost and weight.

Benefits

  • Increase capacity up to 100%
  • Reduce vessel size and weight
  • Increased efficiency
  • Maintains efficiency at higher pressures
  • De-bottleneck existing equipment

Combined Separators

combined separator

Our Horizontal double barrel and/or Vertical filter separators are designed to provide efficient liquid/solid removal and high gas capacities.

The coalescer filter section removes bulk liquid and solid particles and also coalesces fine liquid droplets into larger ones. These larger droplets are then removed in the second [Double Pocket (DP) Vane] section. We utilise high capacity DP Vanes to increase the separator's throughput and thus minimize the separator diameter.

The double barrel configuration allows you to maximise the gas flow in the upper barrel without re-entrainment while the liquid drops into the lower barrel. We offer standard coalescing filters that can be replaced periodically or designs that can be cleaned and reused.

Benefits

  • High gas capacity with a compact vessel
  • Low maintenance
  • No plugging of the DP Vane
  • High efficiency
  • De-bottle neck existing equipment

Applications

  • Gas Plants
  • Transmission Stations
  • Gas Inlet to Chemical & Petrochemical Plants
  • Gas Gathering Systems
  • Turbine Fuel Gas

The collection efficiency of a typical high performance separator will remove 99% of droplets > 0.3 µ at a pressure drop of < 350mm H2O.
