Mist Eliminators
As the exclusive Agents for Begg Cousland & Co. in the U.K. we supply the highest quality mist elimination equipment available on the market today.
'Becoil' Knitted Mesh Demisters
In many industrial processes it is necessary to remove mist or spray droplets from air or gas streams in order to purify the gas and remove liquid which would contaminate the subsequent process, damage downstream equipment, constitute an undesirable atmospheric emission, or to recover a useful liquid product of the process.
'Becoil' knitted mesh pad mist eliminators (demisters) have been specially designed to achieve highly efficiency removal - up to 100% on entrained droplets above 5 microns in size, while generating low pressure losses and are virtually maintenance free.
'Becofil' Candle Demisters
'Becofil' Candle Demisters, commonly referred to as Candle Filters - are intended primarily for the removal of very fine mist particles of less than 2 microns. Collection methods use impingement for removing droplets greater than 1-2 microns and diffusion for finer particles where Brownian motion becomes increasingly predominant.
Each filter is composed of millions of fibres, resulting in very high collection efficiencies through their cumulative effect. Low approach velocities are necessary in order not to mask the diffusion velocities associated with Brownian movement. Candle filters are installed vertically and gases pass horizontally through the filter wall, the trapped particles coalescing and draining through the filter bed.
'Becofil' Candle Demisters will help to eliminate visible stack plumes, meet today’s more stringent air pollution regulations and recover more lost products from processes. The filters are also critical in helping remove fine mist pollutants, which can cause corrosion to downstream equipment, resulting in costly premature replacement and maintenance downtime.
Scrubbers and Strippers
'Becoflex' Rotary Scrubbers
The ‘Becoflex’ Rotary Brush Scrubber is a unique scrubber system, developed through and marketed under licence to ICI, which is capable of removing solid particulate out of a gas stream, down to sizes of 3 micron.
The ‘Becoflex’ scrubber can be used independently or in conjunction with; venturi, packed bed and other traditional scrubber models. The rotary brush also acts as a suction impeller, drawing gas through the system as an aid to, or even in place of, the main extraction unit. The rotary brush is capable of producing suction pressures of up to 1.8 kPa. (0.26 psi).
With our comprehensive design software and extensive database, we are also able to offer detailed scrubber & stripper designs for most gas-liquid absorbing applications.
